EOHR calls the Egyptian authorities for opening Rafah crossing before Palestinians

The Egyptian Organization For Human Rights (EOHR) expresses its deepest worries concerning the escalated situation in the Palestinian territories due to the blockade imposed by Israel on Gaza Strip .EOHR calls the Egyptian authorities for opening Rafah crossing before the restrained Palestinians to raise their human suffering , particularly that the closure of Rafah crossing is considered a clear violation against the restrained Palestinians rights to move and all other rights which were stipulated in the international covenants concerned with human rights . Members of the parliament and human rights activists call for the establishment of national committee to combat corruption

 At the end of a workshop held by EOHR on 26/8/2008 at its office , members of People’s Assembly and Shura council , civil society activists and university professors called for establishing a national committee to combat corruption according to the United Nations convention ,however it includes activists and all concerned with corruption cases  . The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) expresses its deepest worries concerning the hunger strike of both Mohamed Hesham Seif and Mohamed Abdul Reheem Al Sharkawy ,detainees inside Al Wadi Al Gedid prison , as they  were exposed to torture inside Torah prison before their transferring to Al Wadi Al Gedid prison  . The Egyptian Alliance for the Freedom of NGOs holds its second meeting in the Egyptian Governorates

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights and the German Freidrich Naumann Foundation will hold a workshop on Wednesday 20/8/2008 at lawyers institute at Alexandria  in the framework of the Egyptian Alliance for the freedom of NGOs in governorates .The workshop will include a group of human rights activists and representatives of civil society organizations and representatives of Ministry of Social Solidarity in 3 governorates ( Alexandria- Al Behira – Al Gharbia  ) .
