On Monday 28/9/2009, the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) sent a letter to Judge. Abdul Megid Mahmoud, Attorney General, Mr. Habib Al-Adli, Minister of the Interior, Dr. Hatem El Gabaly, Minister of Health and Mr. Atef Sharif, Director of Prisons division, expressing its deepest worries on the spread of H1N1 Flu known as  (Swine Flu) in the world specifically in Egypt. World Health Organization (WHO)announced in its latest statement issued on 20/9/2009 the infection of over 300 000 cases in 191 countries including 3917 deaths. In Egypt, the Ministry Of Health announced the infection of 896 cases by H1N1 Flu  including 3 deaths . EOHR expresses its deepest worries on the protection of prisoners in Egyptian prisons from the infection.

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights( EOHR) issued its qualitative report entitled “Egypt between Poverty and Mirage of Development” on Tuesday 15/9/2009 within EOHR’s interests with the system of economic and social rights and in conjunction with the intervention of EOHR and Cairo Institute For Human Rights Studies under the title of” Poverty is a violation for human dignity” before the  12^th session of human rights council during the period from 14/9/2009 to 2/10/2009.

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights(EOHR) expresses its deepest worries after  Ramzy Mahmoud Mowafy, prisoner in Abu Za’bal went on hunger strike. The prisoner suffers from the lack of some basic services inside the prison such as drinkable water, human food and medical care. It calls Attorney General for releasing  the prisoner on health grounds.
