EOHR holds a seminar entitled “Mechanisms of democratic exercise for NGOs in Egypt,”

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights(EOHR) in cooperation with the German Friedrich Naumann Foundation will hold a seminar entitled  “Mechanisms of democratic exercise for NGOs in Egypt,” on Sunday 4/10/2009 at 1:00 PM at its office among a  participation of a number of NGOS’ representatives and human rights activists .

 

 

 
Mr. Hafez Abu Seada, secretary-general of EOHR clarified that this seminar will discuss the Code of Conduct for Arab civil society 2008 which was discussed at an expanded meeting held in
Lebanon in June 2008 attended by a number of experts of Arab civil society. This Code was approved in a regional conference held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States and it may be adopted by NGOs in Egypt after putting it forward for discussion.

 

The seminar also will discuss the government’s recent amendments on NGOs’ law No.84 2002 .
