A press conference for “The Coalition of Freeing Civil Work in Egypt” next Sunday

A number of representatives of human rights organizations agreed to hold a press conference on Sunday, 28/3/2010 at 12:00 PM at EOHR’s office in order to declare the establishment of “The Coalition of Freeing Civil Work in Egypt“ and to clarify its goals and mechanisms.
The aim of the press conference is to discuss the coalition’s agenda during the next stage, and to discuss the proposed governmental amendments, and the best steps to be taken to face these amendments, this is for the sake of defending the right to assembly and association which is guaranteed by the Constitution and the international covenants concerned with human rights, the matter which will lead to the establishment of free and efficient civil society which is able to contribute to the promotion of democracy and human rights in Egypt.

1 – The United Group for legal Advice.
2 - Arab Center for the Independence of the Judiciary and legal profession.
3 - Arab Organization for Penal Reform.
4 - The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights.
5 - Andalus Institute for Tolerance and Anti-violence.
6 - Association for the Development of Society in Mansoura.
7 - One World Foundation for the Care of Civil Society.
