The Egyptian Committee for Fact Finding and Countering Corruption

A number of representatives of civil society organizations in addition to a number of human rights activists have gathered today in the headquarters of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) on Thursday the 3rd of February, 2011 to discuss the situation the country is going through and to search for the adequate mechanisms to support the demonstrators and the methods through which their demands could be met as soon as possible. They also discussed the recommended mechanisms to punish all those responsible for the violations the demonstrations of the 25th of January and until now. They then declared the formation of “The Egyptian Committee for Fact Finding and Countering Corruption”. Read the rest of this entry »

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights Demands that the Army Intervenes Immediately to Counter and Stop the Assault of Protestors

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) expresses its deep concern regarding the flagrant attack on peaceful protestors in Tahrir Square by some thugs who have been used during parliamentary elections and some security members dressed in civilian clothes according to the testimonies of eyewitnesses.
