The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights calls the SCAF for releasing the arrested teenagers

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) calls the Supreme Council for Armed Forces (SCAF) for releasing the students, who were arrested during the riots that took place in Giza and Cairo, on the Revolutionary Objectives’ Correction Friday, September 9, 2011. Legislators and political parties’ representatives call for the electoral proportional list and new constituencies

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) held “The parliamentary election and the democratic transformation in Egypt” conference on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in Pyramiza Hotel, Dokki. A group of legislators, academics, political parties’ members, media specialists and civil society activists called for conducting the forthcoming parliamentary elections with the electoral proportional list. The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights issues the second media observation report

On September 13, 2011, the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) has issued the second report on observing the media coverage of the political affairs in August. The report included qualitative and quantitative analysis of a sample of media channels including Al Ahram, Al Akhbar, Al Masry Al Youm, Al Shorouk and Al Wafd newspapers in addition to Al Youm Al Sabea, Masrawy, Al badel and Al Ahram Gate websites. The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights calls for the Supreme Council’s decision reconsideration

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) calls the Supreme Council for Armed Forces and the cabinet to reconsider the joint decision for suspending issuance of new satellite channels’ establishment permissions. Monitoring for Change

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) in cooperation with Andalus Institute for Tolerance and anti-Violence Studies is preparing for the “Monitoring for Change” project that is aimed at observing the Egyptian parliamentary and presidential elections’ process.   The first task within the project will be preparation of local electoral observers for the forthcoming electoral process; the observers will monitor the electoral campaign and the electoral process, starting with candidacy, voting, result announcing, electoral violations’ observation and remarks.
