Report 10: Preliminary results on the run for parliamentary elections

The 12th day for receiving candidacy applications for the parliamentary elections witnessed application of the “Coalition for Egypt”, which includes the New Independents Political Party, Nasiri and Revolutionary Youth Political Parties in 13 governorates. The Egyptian Bloc that includes Altagamoa, Al Masreen Al Ahrar and the Social Democratic Political Parties. According to the statements issued by the Egyptian High Commission for Elections, 5404 independent candidates applied for the forthcoming People’s Assembly elections in addition to 228 lists submitted by the political parties.  For Shura Council, 1352 candidates submitted independent applications and 102 political parties’ lists were submitted also.

In Cairo, Ghad Mosa Political party submitted a list includes Esam Mohamed Othman, Osama Aziz Mohamed, Magdi Al Din Abdel Moniem, Zakia Mahmoud Hassan, mahmoud Afifi Abdel Rahman, Amira Abdollah, Khaled Abdel Basit, Ahmed Ibrahim, Ahmed Abdel Raof and Mohamed Gad Al karim.

In Giza, Al Wafd Political Party submitted a list with two candidates for the People’s Assembly. The list is headed by the former deputy of Egyptian Minister of Interior, the security director of the 6th of October Directorate, General Abdel Wahab Hassan Khalil.

In Alexandria, 12 candidates submitted applications for the independent list of the people’s Assembly and 4 candidates applied for the independent list of Shura Council. Freedom and Justice Political Party submitted a list to Shura Council. Al Etihad Political Party submitted a list to the People’s Assembly.

In Sharkia, Mohamed Ahmed Rashed, Eid Fatehi Yahia, Sayed Orabi, Mostafa Motwali Ali, Ali Motwali, Ahmed Nakhla, Gozeh Magdi Tawfiq, Mohamed Ahmed and Sayed Hamada Azazi applied for the independent list of the People’s Assembly.

In Bani Suef, Freedom and Justice Political Party submitted 2 lists to the People’s Assembly and only Ahmed Hassan Abu Fakhra applied to Shura Council.

In New Valley, Freedom and Justice Political Party submitted a list includes Talat Abdollah Mohamed Wahba, Mohsen Mohamed Saber Ahmed, Wafa Hassan Othman and Abdel Khaleq Abdollah Abu Zaid Hegi.

In South Sinai, Eid Abdollah Eid Noser submitted his application for the independent list of the people’s Assembly. Eid belongs to Al Sawalha Tribe.
