The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) welcomes the decision issued by the conference of the UNESCO, on October 31, 2011, for granting Palestine the full membership, after the Palestinian Authority applied for the full membership on October 5, 2011. 107 members of the UNESCO voted for the full membership of the Palestinian State.

EOHR stated that the decision is such a great step on the way of providing the Palestinians with their rights, although it is so late. EOHR hopes that the UN Security Council does the same as UNESCO and hopes also that all the countries support the legal demands of the Palestinian people.
