EOHR qualitative report: Who is responsible for Masbero violence incident?

On October 13, 2011 the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) issues the qualitative report on Masbero violence incident under the name of “Who is responsible for Masbero violence incident?” Within this report, EOHR calls for an independent fact finding committee to conduct wide range investigations on the violence incident. Whatever happened, this violence incident does not reflect the status of relationships between Muslims and Christians in Egypt. Report 1: Preliminary results on the run for parliamentary elections

The intended parliamentary elections will run in November 2011 to end in March 2012. EOHR issues the third report on the media coverage of the current political affairs and elections

On October 10, 2011, the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) issues the third report on the media coverage on the current political affairs and elections during September 2011. The report includes quantitative and qualitative analysis of a sample of media channels including Al Ahram, Al Akhbar, Al Masry Al Youm, Al Shorouk and Al Wafd newspapers in addition to Al Youm Al Sabea, Masrawy, Al Badel and Al Ahram Gate websites. EOHR calls for a fact finding committee on Masbero incident

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) expresses awesome worry for Masbero violence incident that came as a reaction of Aswan protests for demolishing Marinab Gust House. The building is not only used as a gust hosting building for the Christians come to Edfo Area, Aswan Governorate, but also a worshiping place, in which religious practices used to be done. The Copts submitted an official application for the concerned governmental authorities for turning the hosting house to a church. When the Islamists demolished the building, protests walked from Shubra Area to Masbero district and destroyed private, public and military cars and exchanged fire with the military troops. 24 people were killed and 327 found injured, from both sides. EOHR calls the Egyptian Supreme Commission for Elections to identify the standards of the electoral observation missions

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) calls the Egyptian Supreme Commission for Elections to identify the standards of the electoral observation missions of the local and international civil society organization. Following a meeting of the Supreme Council for Armed Forces (SCAF) with the leaders of many Egyptian political parties, SCAF announced allowing observation of local and international observers on the forthcoming parliamentary election.
