The Egyptian Coalition for Election Observation holds a press conference on the results of the parliamentary election observation mission during the second phase. The conference will be held on December 18, 2011, 12 pm, at the headquarters of the Egyptian organization for Human Rights (EOHR). The conference will tackle the most serious electoral violations documented by the coalition observers during the first round of the second phase. The conference will also cover the media performance monitoring results in connection with the local newspapers, different news websites and TV channels. 

The Egyptian Coalition for Electoral Observation includes 123 development and human rights’ civil society organizations in 26 governorates countrywide. The coalition has formed an equipped operation room for receiving the statements of the local and international observers on the situation in the polling stations. The operation room, located at the Egyptian organization for Human Rights (EOHR), includes specialized officers from EOHR, the United Group for Legal Consulting, Andalus Institute for Tolerance Studies and the Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights.
