Knives were used in clashes inside Al Sharki Bahgora Youth Center

On January 4, 2012, the voting process began on the second day for the last parliamentary election phase began in Menia, Kalyoubia, Gharbia, Dakhlia, New Valley, Matrouh, Kena, North and South Sinai. Voting runs in other 5 constituencies, in which voting was cancelled in the first and second phases, based on court decisions. A vote was sold for LE 200 in North Sinai

On January 3, 2012, the polling stations in Menia, Kalyoubia, Gharbia, Dakhlia, New Valley, Matrouh, Kena, North and South Sinai were closed at 7 pm. The observers of the Egyptian Coalition for Electoral Observation found many electoral violations including group voting, campaigning inside and outside the polling stations, electoral fraud and bribes, which reached LE 200 by the end of the voting day for a vote. Al Nor Political Party uses mosques for electoral campaigning in Dakhlia

On January 3, 2012, voting continued in the last parliamentary election phase in Menia, Kalyoubia, Gharbia, Dakhlia, New Valley, Matrouh, Kena, North and South Sinai. The observers of the Egyptian Coalition for Electoral Observation found many electoral violations including group voting, campaigning inside and outside the polling stations, closing polling centers for inadequacy of ballots in Kalyoubia, electoral bribes and verbal clashes. Abu Seada takes legal actions against Moheet

On January 3, 2012, Hafez Abu Seada, the head of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) filed the official report no. 19, year 2012, to the prosecutor general office against the Arab Media Network. The network published news distorts the image of a group of prominent cultured people including the complainer, Hisham Kasem, the founder of Al Masry Al Youm Newspaper, Osama Al Ghazali Harb, member of the Journalist Syndicate, Professor Hassan Nafa, Hala Mostafa, Journalist for Al Al Ahram Newspaper and Naser Amin, the head of The Arab Center for Independence of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession (ACIJLP), Centre Arabe de l’Indépendance des Avocats et de la Magistrature. The Statistical Report of The Egyptian Parliamentary Elections 2011-2012 2nd phase

The 2nd round of the Egyptian parliamentary elections started up on the 14th of December 2011, in other 9 governorates: Giza, Sharqiya, Ismailia, Suez, Menoufia, Bany Suif, Behera, Souhag, and Aswan. 10, 922 judges were eligible to supervise the elections, in addition to other 2000 standing by. The number of the citizens having the right to vote in this round was 18, 826, 394, who have voted to choose 60 candidates out of 2241 run for the individual seats, and 120 out of 1429 run for the lists.
