EOHR denies what was published by Misr Al Gadida about the election report

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) denies what was published by Misr Al Gadida website on May 26, 2012 concerning issuing a report on the election process entitled “Manipulation of the Voter Lists”.
Mr. Hafez Abu Seada, the head of EOHR, affirmed that EOHR did not issue any reports during the electoral process as EOHR, but all the reports were issued by EOHR on behalf of the Egyptian Federation of Election Observation. The issued reports are all on the websites of EOHR: http://eohr.org and http://almasryanews.org
Abu Seada added that the reports issued by the Egyptian Federation of Election Observation came as official complaints to the High Election Commission.
EOHR calls upon the editor in chief of Misr El Gadida Electronic Newspaper to publish the denial statement of EOHR on its website, at the same place, on the same space. Publishing false news is criminalized according to article no. 48/4 of the political participation code no. 73, year 1956 and decree no. 124, year 2011[1].
On May 27, 2012, EOHR contacted Misr El Gadida Electronic Newspaper to correct the false information published by the newspaper on May 26, 2012.

[1] Imprisonments are given to:
Those who threaten people in order to prevent them from voting or those who force voters to adopt specific points of view
Those who offer benefits for others in order to adopt specific ideas of change their minds
The head of the High Electoral Commission has the right to invalidate the votes of the voters involved in the abovementioned crimes.
