EOHR and ANHRI issue the second media coverage assessment report

On June 21, 2012, the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) and the Arab Network for Human Rights Information (ANHRI) issued their second report on the Egyptian media coverage assessment, during the runoff of the presidential elections.

The report included qualitative and quantitative analysis of the media materials broadcasted by the Egyptian national satellite channels like ON TV, CBC, Al Hiah and Al Nihar.

The monitored newspapers included independent, national and political parties’ newspapers such as Freedom and Justice, Al Ahram, Al Akhbar, Wafd, Ahrar, Roza Al Youssef, Al Shorouk, Al Masri Al Youm, Al Tahrir and Al Youm Al Saba. The report covered the period from the first presidential election round until the end of the runoff, 3 weeks, from May 25, 2012 to June 17, 2012.
