Independent Monitoring Authorities within the New Egyptian Constitution

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) holds an open discussion workshop on “The Independent Monitoring Authorities within the New Egyptian Constitution”, on September 27, 2012, 10 am. Held at Pyramisa Hotel in Giza, the workshop will be attended by professors of law, parliamentarians, members of the National Constitutional Assembly, public figures, representatives of the Egyptian political parties and civil society organization.

The workshop will handle the legal basis for formation, powers and responsibilities of the National Corruption Commission, National Electoral Commission and the independent authorities of media and journalism.

The attendees will include Dr. Abdel Fattah Al Gibaly, economical expert, Dr. Hamdi Abdel Azim, professor of economics, Dr. Atif Al Banna, Dr. Wahed Abdel Maged and judge Nor Al Din Ali, members of the national constitutional assembly, Dr. Tharwat Badawy, professor of law, Dr. Ammar Ali Hassan, sociologist, Mr. Esam Al Islamboly, legal expert, Dr. Safwat Al Alim, professor of media and Mr. Saad Hagras, editor in chief of Alam Al Youm Newspaper. The participants will also include Mr. Khaled Salah, editor in chief of Al Youm Al Saba Newspaper, Mr. Hussein Abdel Raziq, former head of Al Tagamoa Political Party, Dr. Mostafa Al Nasharty, vice dean of the Administration Faculty, Misr University for Science and Technology and Dr. Gamal Zahran professors of political science.
