EOHR forms an Observatory for Violence

EOHR announces the formation of an « Observatory for Violence » to take over effectively the current events as terrorist actions and violent incidents damaging the rights of Egyptian citizens throughout the country. EOHR condemns the terrorist assault that targeted the police office of Mansoura

And calls the Ministry of Interior to arrest the perpetrators and present them to justice

EOHR condemns the bomb attack against the Police Office “Mansoura 1” in Dakahleya, on the first floor of the Security Directorate building of Dakahleya. EOHR condemns the incitement to violence

Four women killed in the incidents of Mansoura

 

EOHR strongly condemns the killings of four women and the injury of more than 200 people in the events that took place in El Tera’a Street in Mansoura on July 19, 2013. It is a stark violation of the right to life. EOHR calls the State for assuming its responsibility in securing the demonstrators and separating the supporters of the ousted President and his opponents. EOHR condemns the assault on the staff of Sky News channel and the detention of Al Jazeera correspondent

EOHR strongly condemns the assault led by supporters of the ousted President Mohamed Morsi on the employees of Sky News channel covering the demonstration at Ramses on July 15, 2013. EOHR also denounces the detention of Al Jazeera correspondent in Azbakeya police station, which is considered to be a flagrant violation of freedom of opinion and expression and of the right to exchange information.
