EOHR calls for an immediate investigation on the incidents at the Republican Guard headquarters

EOHR condemns all acts of violence which spread in the country these last days; especially the incidents which occurred at dawn on July 8, 2013 in front of the Republican Guard headquarters, resulting in 42 deaths and 322 injuries amongst citizens, as well as the death of a police officer and the injury of many soldiers (6 are still in critical condition). EOHR calls for a fair and equitable trial of former regime figures

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) followed the arrests of former regime figures and the issuance of the provisions of imprisonment for number of them namely, Khairat El Shater, Mahdi Akef, and Saad El Katatni, and Rashad Bayoumi, Mohamed El Omda, and Helmi El Gazzar, and Abdel-Moneim Abdel-Maksoud. Urgent call to all political forces

EOHR calls all political forces to prevent the shedding of Egyptian blood

EOHR expresses its deep concern about the increase of violence through the country yesterday, July 6, 2013. This growing violence came after the military overthrow President Mohamed Morsi in response to the popular will, and the investiture of Adly Mansour, as interim President (until new parliamentary and presidential elections take place, and the composure of a new constitution for the country). Organization renews its demands for all political forces to protect freedoms in order to preserve the nation

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) expresses its deep concern about development of the political scene as witnessed by the country today 07, July, 2013.  Violence spread in different parts of the country, resulting in the death of 17 people and leaving more than 270 injured. The demonstrations were far from peaceful and violence became the primary instigator of the protests regarding the isolation of Egypt’s former president Mohamed Morsi Ayat. A New Wave of Violence

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) followed the events driven by anger against President Mohamed Morsi on Sunday, June 3013. The events were in reaction to the political movement ‘Tamarod’ that had been calling out for Egyptians to declare their rejection of the rule of the Muslim Brotherhood and announce the withdrawal of their vote of confidence from Mohamed Morsi Ayat as president of the country.
