The EOHR demands the release of prisoners of the Egyptian community in Gaza.

EOHR condemns the storming of security forces of the Cultural Center of the Egyptian community in Gaza Strip; they have arrested the head of the community, Mr. Adel Abd Al- Rahman, as well as other staff members at the center.  The Organization demands a prompt release of the Egyptian detainees and to stop such irresponsible acts which leads to a deterioration of the relation between Egypt and the Palestine. EOHR demands an investigation of the incident of torture of Mohamed Badie, MB General Guide

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights expresses its deep concern about the frequent news about the torture and assaults inflicted upon Mr. Mohammed Badie, Muslim Brotherhood General Guide, during the proceedings of his arrest from his home by the police force on August the 20th, 2013. EOHR filed a complaint to the Attorney General to investigate torture cases during Mubarak’s reign

The Organization issued a complaint, Thursday morning, 22nd of August, to the Attorney General with a complaint No.11462 (Petitions’ section). This complaint aims at a quick and prompt investigation of all complaints and notifications, received by the Organization during its work over a period of 25 years, regarding torture incidents, ill treatment, and the violation of the right to life stipulated by international standards of human rights, as well as local and national standards and laws. These violations rest on the Ex-President, Muabarak, as the former head of the Supreme Council of the Police and his former Interior Minister, Habeeb el Adly.  Read the rest of this entry »

EOHR demands the Egyptian Government to quickly arrest the assailants of the Sinai Soldiers.

EOHR received, with anxiety, the news of the death of 36 MB detainees yesterday, 18th of August, during their transfer to prison after they were arrested during the violent acts happened recently in the country. EOHR condemns the proceeding of sectarian violence in “Bani Suef”

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights expresses its grave concern about the events that took place in the village of “Diabia” at the “Wasty Center” after the outbreak of clashes between Muslim and Christian local residents, resulting in approximately 15 injuries from both sides, as well as setting fire to parts of the village church.
