EOHR will hold the third workshop entitled “strengthening the concept of citizenship among the youth” tomorrow, Tuesday December 24th 2013, at the organization’s headquarters, within the framework of the organization’s plan in educating the youth about the importance and usefulness of the concept of the citizenship, particularly at this important stage which requires all the political forces across the country to work together in achieving democracy in the country.
This workshop comes in the context of the desire of the organization to promote the concept of citizenship among the youth, since this concept is among the basic concepts that we should work on in the coming period to activate the mechanisms of the political participation, especially after the text of the draft constitution stressed on establishing the idea of citizenship.
From his side, Hafez Abu Seada, President of EOHR, has emphasized that the citizenship is working on lifting the differences between the people of one nation, contributing in the development of the society, and raising the level of civilization.
He further added that the provision of the value of citizenship among the youth will provide an opportunity of building a new generation with a great sense of responsibility towards their homeland and its development, and will do everything for the sake of the country.
