The results of the Egyptian Coalition for monitoring the referendum process
The first day

The Continues increase in violence; the number of the violence deaths reached 7 deaths

Attempts to intimidate the voters

Clashes between the security forces and the Muslim brotherhood members 

The limited number in the absentees committees resulted in their reluctance to vote 

The voting process on the new constitution continued amid many the violations, abuses, and violence that the numbers of the victims reached 7 citizens till now in Sohag, Cairo, and Giza, including a natural death. And the attempts to intimidate the voters continued in all the possible means, and the deliberate clashes with the security forces in different governorates, along with the continuous  attempts to influence the will of the voters by urging them to vote “Yes” or “No” or “Abstain”.

The voters accumulated in front of the committees which caused their reluctance to vote .

The observers monitored many abuses till 6:00 pm, in the following manner:

First: Violence and bullying acts:

In Giza Governorate, the observers monitored temporary suspension in the election process in some committees in El-Mogmaa El-Azhary in El-Saf center at about 2:00 Pm, as a result of firing shots by muslim brotherhood members in the area surrounding the committees to disperse the voters and terrorizing them, which made the security forces and army chase them.

The observers monitored clashes near the voting committees in El-Saf center by the muslim brotherhood to intimidate the voters.

In Cairo governorate, the observers monitored a temporary suspension in the voting process in Hafez Ibrahim School in Helwan caused by shooting fires by individual, and the armed forces chased him.

In Sohag governorate, the observers monitored clashes between muslim brotherhood members and the security forces in 15 street which resulted in the injury of a police officer and a police department secretary.

In Aswan governorate, the coalition observers monitored a number of supporters of the Brotherhood organizing a march in the El-Seel area urging the voters to boycott the referendum, which resulted in clashes with security forces.
In the province of Dakahlia, the coalition observers monitored a number of Brotherhood supporters gather in front of the School Committee, Omar ibn al-Khattab to impede the entry of voters.

In the province of El-Gharbya observers monitored clashes between supporters of the Brotherhood and security forces in Basioun and security forces arrested a number of people (Mohammed Atef 31 years old , Mustafa Ashraf Shaban 18 years old , Mohammed Jamal soldier, 18 years old, Mohamed Ahmed Hindawi, 16 years old, Reda Mohamed Salim 30 years old) and found on their possession sketch for Besion Center and the surrounding streets.

Second: Influence on the will of voters and the election propaganda:

 

In the governorate of Cairo, the coalition observers monitored a number of Brotherhood supporters gather in Ahmed Zomor Street in Nasr City urging the voters to boycott the referendum.
In the governorate of North Sinai, the coalition observers monitored some individuals affiliated with a campaign called the future of the nation under the guidance of voters to vote “yes” committees of junior high school boys in Arish, and this was repeated in various committees in El Arish.

 

Third: Violations inside the polling stations:

In North Sinai Governorate, the coalition observers monitored a slow motion in the voting process in the committees of Abu Bakr El-Sedeek School,  as a result if the  amendment in the voters’ lists and change in the committees which resulted in the accumulation of voters.

In Menoufia Governorate, the coalition observers monitored the accumulation of voters and their slow entry to the committeesNo. 49-50 in the school seminary in El-Shohdaa Center because of the inclusion of the two committees because of the absence of one of the judges.
In the province of Damietta, the coalition observers monitored the accumulation of nearly a thousand voters in front of the Committee of the Religious Azhari Institute for due to the allocation of only one committee for them.
In the province of Dakahlia, the coalition observers monitored the accumulation of hundreds of voters in front of the Committee of the Religious Institute in Mansoura causing them a slow entry, which forced many of them to leave because of a lack of the committees.

Fourth Temporary suspension of voting process:

In the governorate of Giza, the coalition observers monitored the temporary suspension in the voting process stops in the committees No.  (52, 53, 54) in Amir El-Shoaraa School from 4:00 Pm for the supervisors break.

It is noteworthy that the ECME combines about 128 human rights and development organizations and associations throughout 27 governorates. The operating room, held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR), is composed of the EOHR, Egyptian Center for Women’s Rights (ECWR), and Andalus Institute for Tolerance & Anti-Violence Studies.
