The results of the Egyptian Coalition for monitoring the referendum process
The first day

The Continues increase in violence; the number of the violence deaths reached 7 deaths

Attempts to intimidate the voters

Clashes between the security forces and the Muslim brotherhood members 

The limited number in the absentees committees resulted in their reluctance to vote 

The voting process on the new constitution continued amid many the violations, abuses, and violence that the numbers of the victims reached 7 citizens till now in Sohag, Cairo, and Giza, including a natural death. And the attempts to intimidate the voters continued in all the possible means, and the deliberate clashes with the security forces in different governorates, along with the continuous  attempts to influence the will of the voters by urging them to vote “Yes” or “No” or “Abstain”. The results of the Egyptian Coalition for monitoring the referendum process.

The first day

 The escalation of violence and bullying, and the occurrence of the first deaths in Beni Suef.

 An explosion in El-Sharkya Province and attempts of intimidating voters.

 The increasing in the campaigns to influence the will of the voters and conduct electoral propaganda.

Voting was stopped in some committees.

 Mass transfer of voters.

 

The process of referendum on the new constitution continued amid a large cluster of citizens, the monitoring coalitions observed numerous diverse violations, which included violence, bullying, the fall of the first victim, improvised explosive devices in different regions and voter intimidation, halting of the voting process, the presence of influence on the will of the voter, and propaganda from both opponents and supporters of the draft. A statement from the Egyptian Coalition for monitoring the elections about the 2014 referendum

The referendum process on the constitution comes as a first step in the implementation of the road map that has been announced, according to the declaration of the interim president the citizens will vote on Tuesday and Wednesday 14th and 15th January 2014. In that context the Egyptian Coalition for Election Monitoring urges all the citizens to participate in this constitutional entitlement and cast their votes in the upcoming referendum to make the results- Regardless of what it is- satisfying and expressive of the various spectra of the Egyptian people. El-Mansheya Misdemeanors court issued prison sentence to seven members of the 6th of April movement for violating the demonstration law.

El-Manshya Misdemeanor court in Alexandria issued on Thursday its rule of 2 years prison and a fine of 50 thousand pounds on 7 members of the 6th of April movement, accused of violating the demonstration law, and that’s after the stepping down of the judge last week for feeling embarrassed to continue in this case.
