The Egyptian Organization condemns killing of 7 Egyptians by militants in Libya

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights expressed its deep regret about the triple incident which led to death of seven Egyptian citizens in the Groth village one of the outskirt of the city of Benghazi in eastern Libya where the assassinations and kidnappings and car bombs are common. In this regard, EOHR demanding the Egyptian government to communion with the concerned authorities in Libya to protect live of Egyptian workers in Libya.  

On Monday 24 February 2014, A group of hooded had carried out an attack on a building inhabited by Egyptians, and kidnapped 8 people, one of them escaped while the other seven”Talaat  sdek Bibawi, Hani Girgis Habib, Ndha Girgis Habib, Fathi Fawzi sdek, Edward Nashed Polys , Ayoub Sabri Tawfik, Sameh Romany Tawfik, ” were roped and then shot and killed.

EOHR condemns this cowardly criminal incident, and calls upon the Egyptian Foreign Ministry to take a serious stands toward these treacherous hands that took the Egyptian spirits and to protect Egyptians abroad. EOHR also presented its deepest condolences to the families of the killed Egyptians, calling that God inspires them patience and solace.

From his side, Hafez Abu Seada, President of EOHR, has asserted that what happened of heinous murder in Libya needs a serious investigation and resolute, in particular they are Christians, demanding the Egyptian Foreign Ministry to carry out its mandated role in the protection of Egyptians in Libya.
