EOHR calls for the release of all Mohamed Mahmoud demonstrators

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) expresses its concern for the arrest of a number of demonstrators, which took place yesterday, Wednesday 19 November 2014 to commemorate Mohamed Mahmoud anniversary in Cairo and in various governorates, calling for the application of Article 73 of the Egyptian Constitution, which provides the right to stage public meetings, processions, demonstrations and all forms of peaceful demonstrations, without weapons of any sort. EOHR calls upon the government to prorogate the deadline for the regularization of the unregistered organizations until the enactment of a new NGOs law

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) expresses its deep concern for the deadline set by the Ministry of Solidarity for the regularization of unregistered CSOs in accordance with NGOs Law number 84 of the year 2002, especially because there are sustained rights calls to amend the law in the provisions that restrict and obstacle the civil work in the field of sustainable development and in their support to human rights and the rule of law. Counterterrorism observatory EOHR condemns the terrorist attacks in the Egyptian governorates

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) condemns the series of explosion which took place in various governorates. A bomb exploded at only 100 m from ElKobba presidential palace in Cairo, on Thursday morning, November 6, after the attack to a train carriage in AlMunoufeya, on Wednesday evening, November 5, and another explosion that had already happened at metro ElAnfaq, in AlMarg (East of Cairo). EOHR and NCHR hold an information meeting at OHCHR in Geneva

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) held an information meeting last Tuesday in Geneva, at Palais des Nations (Room XXV) from 1.30 to 3.30 pm, in cooperation with the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR), on the occasion of the Egyptian review at UPR.
