The Egyptian Organization for Human rights (EOHR) calls on the attorney general to open an immediate investigation on the abuses of the security forces towards the lawyers

EOHR expresses its deep condemnation concerning the abuses of the security forces toward a number of lawyers which occurred the last Tuesday in front of Al Dokki police station. EOHR expresses its deep concern regarding the continuation of restricting and arresting the peaceful protesters that participated in the peaceful demonstration erupted in the Egyptian different governorates on the last Monday 25/4/2015.As the Egyptian police arrested number of the protesters participated in the demonstrations against the demarcation of maritime borders convention between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The Egyptian organization for human rights (EOHR) CALLS FOR LEADING A QUICK INVESTGATION INTO THE MURDER COMMITTED BY ONE OF THE POLICE OFFICERS

       EOHR is expressing its condemnation concerning the recent killing of an Egyptian citizen by one of the police officers. AS the mentioned police officer started to fire live ammunition randomly which led to the death of one of the passing citizens and two others were injured. What happened considered being a crystal clear violation to the human right to life -which is the holiest right at all- and to the human and ethical values guaranteed by all the divine religions as well as the conventions on human rights. EOHR expresses its concern over the continuation of the restricting policies against the human rights defenders and activists. As those policies were reflected in the last incident of the closure decision of El Nadeem Center for Rehabilitation of Victims of Violence; consequently the EOHR calls for the change of the followed confrontational strategy with the civil society organizations for more liberating policies to the CSOs particularly human rights organizations.
