 EOHR implores the president not to ratify the new Judicial authority law[1]

 The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) expresses its deep concern regarding parliament’s decision to amend Judicial authority law 46 of 1972, administrative prosecution law of 1958, the State Lawsuits Authority law of 1963 and law 47 of the state council. The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) voices its great concern, and great condemnation of the suspension of 2 issues by Al Bawaba news (Newspaper). EOHR condemns the Church bombings in Tanta and Alexandria

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) strongly condemns the bombings that targeted two churches in Egypt’s nile delta. The bombings coicided with Palm Sunday which is celebrated by millions of Christians all over Egypt. The first bombing targeted St. George church in Tanta, the bomb killed over 30 people and injured more than 50. The second bombing targeted St. Mark Church in Alexandria where Coptic Patriarch Tawadros was leading prayer. The Suicide bomber detonated himself at the Church gates when he was detected by policemen securing the church. The attack killed more than 13 people including 4 policemen and women and injured around 30 . Read the rest of this entry »
