EOHR implores Egypt’s government to respect and uphold human rights in their entirety

 On the 10th of December of every year the world celebrates the promulgation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The UN General Assembly issued the declaration on the 10th of December 1948 by that cementing the core foundations of international human rights law, and establishing the universality of the principles of human rights. President Trump’s decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem is a grave violation of International Human Rights Law

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) strongly condemns the US President’s unilateral recognition of Jerusalem as the unified capital of the State of Israel. EOHR also condemns Mr. Trump’s decision to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, stressing that such a move only serves to undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
